I was up at 06.00hr. Made tea with my brand new mini water heater. At 8am Ina and I walked west over 52st street to the the Hudson River boardwalk. If the weather is good we are talking a cruise halfway around Manhattan. It was good, actually it was great! Blue skies with white, fluffy clouds...
Anyway, here are the pictures....

Landmark cruise
 Manhattan Bridge
Left the Empire State Building and on the right side the Chrysler tower
 Freedom Tower in Downtown
Downtown, with the new Word Trade Center no 1 (The "Freedom" Tower)
Above, the "Freedom" Tower under construction in 2011, below finished in 2014
After the cruise we walked south on the boardwalk. Around 32nd Street we talk the High Line to 14th Street. The High Line pedestrian walk came in the place of the abandoned elevated railroad track.
At Union Square we took the subway back to the hotel
After resting at the hotel we took the A train from Colombu Circle to Brooklyn, exit High Street. Walked across the Brooklyn bridge back to Manhattan.
Along the federal court house to Chinatown.
Dinner at a small Chinese restaurant.
After dinner we walked east on Canal Street to take the metro back to the hotel.

Jun 25, 2014: Flagstaff
The cat jumped up the roof of my trailer at two o'clock in the the morning, and stumbled around on it for a while. Very noisy. I got up earlier than I wanted, 3 o'clock in the morning.  I varnished the last part of the floor, and started driving, to Phoenix. It took 2 1/2 hours
I had reserved parking at the Howard Johnson motel near the airport. ($4 per day), with the free shuttle I went to the airport, checking in with Southwest airlines.
When I got there I found out that the departure was delayed for  90 minutes...
When we landed in New York after 5 hours of flying, another 15 minutes delay, but Ina was waiting comfortably, her plane was earlier.
With Super Shuttle to Manhattan, to the hotel. Dropping bags in the room (20th floor!)
and we walked to Times Square.
With food for me (only peanuts with Southwest) at a Korean grocery, we ate on the steps of Times Square. Around 22.15hr we went back to the hotel.

Jun 25, 2014: Flagstaff - Phoenix - New York
Flying  from Phoenix to New York. My friend Ina invited me to come and meet her there. One week, the hotel Wellington in Manhattan.

I haven't been in New York in 3 years. It gives me a chance to see and film the finished "Freedom" Tower and the september 11 memorial museum.
