Feb 28, 2018: Athens - Amsterdam - Groningen

Yesterday I finished cleaning the apartment, sheets and towels are laundered and in the closet. I went to bed at 21.00 hr, woke up at 04.15. At 05.15 I left the apartment and walked to the Megaro Moussiki metro station.

The train left at 06.42, pretty full. I got to the airport at 06.30 hr.
Check-in was fast and so was security. Now I am at a coffee place, the plane leaves 08.45hr

Feb 23, 2018: Athens

After 3 days of sunshine, now rain.
My time in Athens is almost up: going to Holland next week Thursday.

I will be dog sitting in Groningen until March 12.

On March 13 I am flying to the USA.

Back to Flagstaff, where today it had a record snowstorm.....

I hope it looks like this when I get back......

On March 21 I'm taking a Greyhound bus to Las Vegas where work starts: a 10 day tour with Agricultural students from Germany.

Feb 14, 2019: Farm Tour

I ran last Sunday and Wednesday, slight twinge in my right hamstring, but I ran the whole distance. I'll run again next Sunday, see what happens ( may have to shut my running for 1 month).
Two more weeks, and I am flying back to Holland. I will be in Groningen until March 12, flying back to the USA on Mar13.
I have a tour starting on March 21. Same tour as last year's tour in April: Students from an agricultural College in Germany.

Feb 10, 2019: Athens

I have got sun on the east side balcony from 09.30-12.00,

but until Dec 01, not on the east side balcony,

The sun was too low in the sky travelling from east to west. But now the sun is high enough that I have sun on the west side from 15.30-17.00......
I ran this morning, first time in 2 weeks because of the hamstring injury. It went well, planning to go again on wednesday, depending how it feels.

Feb 05, 2019: Athens

Last week Tuesday I ran, but after 20 meters I felt a pull in my right hamstring. Same leg and I think the same location as in November in Groningen. So, I am not running for 2 weeks, and then I will test it. But I am walking.
Today I walked 6 km from Eleftherios subway station (right side of the map) to Omonia and then back to Monastiraki. No problem.

Warm day. Even the Greeks left their winter coats and hats and shawls at home....
