Apr 28, 2020: Flagstaff

3 days ago, the weather here in Flagstaff, changed. From freezing in the morning with a cold wind during the day, to summer. Yesterday evening I had all the windows and door open, and at night I closed the door but left everything else open.
Yesterday was my appointment at the eye clinic. One hour of testing of both eyes. The conclusion was that I have the beginning of a cataract in my left eye, and the cataract in my right eye is now so bad that it will be removed on Jun 09.....

I took the freeway into town yesterday, to go groceries shopping, and there was a sign saying that the Grand Canyon Park was closed. That means that ALL the national parks are closed...Goodbye tourisme until next year.....
It does not matter to me anymore, retired......
I went to see the doctor for my right eye yesterday, and I have now a referral for an eye specialist.

Apr 08, 2020: Flagstaff

I got home last week Monday, shopping the same day and on Tuesday. Wemt into town today, for the first time. No toilet paper available, (I still have enough for 3 weeks), and many items one or two per customer. I think the measures here, in Holland and Greece are very similair.
My original flight from Condor (Amsterdam-Phoenix) got cancelled, and I can get a voucher for a future flight.
Oh well, staying at home now for another week, when it is time to go shopping....😀

Apr 01, 2020: Flagstaff

Last week Sunday I flew from Athens to Amsterdam, and a train from the airport to the the Hague.
On Tuesday  I booked a flight from Amsterdam to Los Angeles, for Thursday, which I found out later, was their last flight. Later that morning I drove my brother's car to Groningen, picked up my stuff and drove back to The Hague.
On Wednesday, packed up stuff that stays in the Hague, and that which I take with me to the USA.
Thursday morning at 06:90 my brother drove me to the airport.
The same day I landed in Los Angeles. I stayed at a friend's house in San Pedro until Sunday afternoon, when I took the night train to Flagstaff.
Monday morning at 04:30 arrived in Flagstaff, and walked 2 hours to get back home (there were no taxis).
And now I am a little tired......
