I took the train from Los Angeles to Flagstaff on Sunday. A night train, leaving Los Angeles at 18.00, arriving in Flagstaff at 05.15. The train was full, no sleep for me.
30 miles west of Flagstaff there was 3 inches of snow on the ground. In Flagstaff about half an inch. But it was cold. No cabs in sight, I decided to wait in the station (where it was warm) until 06.30 and then take the public bus No 3 to get to Soliere and Country Club. From there I walked towards home. Dawson came by afer 2km walking and gave me a ride the rest of the way.
Blue skies and sun until latte afternoon, when it started to rain.
This morning lots of cloud with again half an inch of snow/hail on the ground.
I ran 10km along the shoreline of San Pedro to Wilmington and back.
When I got back home I drove the car to the city of Gardena: shopping for groceries: the 99 Ranch market, which is a Korean supermarket, and across the street , to Sam's Club. Very busy at Sam's Club, compared to it, the Flagstaff store is very quiet...
Yesterday I drove to Venice Beach, parked on the border between Marina Del Rey and Venice Beach. A lot of traffic going there and also a lot of people on the Boardwalk and on the path connected Venice Beach and Santa Monica.
