Feb 08, 2022: Patra

 During the cold spell this week (nighttime 2 degrees celsius in January, my tomato plants died. Oh well..
The Magnolia tree is about to get flowers, so tomorrow i am going to grow new tomato plants from seeds.

Snow in Athens

 No snow here in Patras!

I went running this morning wearing my summer jacket on top of my winter jacket and a heavier pair of running pants over my regular winter running pants.

At 12.00 it was warm enough (at the non wind part of the terras) to lie down in the sun for 90 minutes...

Carnaval Patras

Giant Carnaval statues of have been placed in Patras. But, like last year, I think it will be cancelled, again...

Jan 04, 2022: Patra

 Walking to the Rio train stop I saw this:

It was 08.50 the sun coming over the hills, barely, south from the beach.
It lit up the Rio bridge, nothing else.

Running in the New Year

I went to bed yesterday at 22.00hr, and got up this morning at 06.30. Looked at news on the internet until it was light enough to go running. My New Year tradition for over 30 years!

In 2021 I ran a total of 1060 km.....

Warmest day of the year today, blue skies and no wind.
I saw 2 runners and an old couple, walking. Nothing else moved. 

When I got back I let the dogs out of their pen. 

Later, around 12.00, the dogs were sleeping and I was sunbathing on the Terrasse.
