I did 7 km yesterday.
Between 5 and 6km, still having to walk twice a short distance,
but the walks are getting shorter and the overall pace faster.

The Running Project 9
The past 2 runs I started at 09.30,
in long pants and a lightweight running jacket over a long sleeved running shirt.
Especially the last one run it was getting too warm the second part of the run. (Temperature and humidity)
This morning I started my 6 km run at 07.30, in shorts and a lightweight jacket over a short sleeved running shirt.
Much better!
I was able to sustain a higher tempo and recuperate when running in a slightly slower tempo.

Yesterday I ran a new route: Bozaitika-Patras Station
I could not see the mountains North and Nort-East of Patras. Caused not by smog, but humidity. It made running slower, ran out of gas around 6km.April 19, 2022

The Running Project 7
I ran over the Rio bridge to Antirrio the morning. 7km, very hard head wind going to the bridge.
In Antirrio I had to walk two times, but shorter than the last time taking this route. No hip discomfort.

The Running Project 6
This week I am doing two 6km runs and on Sunday a 7 1/2km run.
Running longer is starting to pay off. The 6km run this morning has been the fastest in the past year!

The Running Project 5
On my run yesterday I ran well until 6 1/2 km. Strong head wind, incline at the end.
I cannot do 8km, not yet. But, on a flat course, with no head wind, I can do 7km without problems.
So, keep on running while monitoring recovery and muscle/tendons discomfort.

The Running Project 4
I had jogged about halfway to the Rio train stop, when I realized that I had left my train pass at home. I had to run fast back to the house to get it, and be on the 08.10 train from the Kastellokampos train stop.
I made it. I got off at the Agya train stop. From there I started my run.
My legs felt heavy, the run was slower than the last time.
I can think of 2 reasons.
- I had already run fast 1 1.2 km to catch the train.
- Going west along the ocean there was a strong head wind.
Next week Friday again 8km. In between one 5 1/2 km run.
